Background: Emerging adults (18–30 years) face challenges across mental, social, and biological dimensions, yet there are no specific primary care policies focused on health promotion and prevention. Objective: To develop an integral health construct and validate a scale that integrates mental, social, and biological dimensions. Materials and methods: The construct was designed based on a literature review and expert consensus. Content validity (Aiken’s V), reliability (Cronbach’s alpha and McDonald’s omega), and factorial structure (KMO index) were assessed. Results: The 18-item scale demonstrated high internal consistency (α = 0.881; ω = 0.871), strong content validity (Aiken’s V = 0.85), and an adequate factorial structure (KMO = 0.923), with three components explaining 63.6% of the variance. Conclusions: The scale shows potential for preventive health monitoring in emerging adults and for use in primary care settings.
Keywords: Comprehensive health care. Young adult. Surveys and questionnaires. Primary health care.
